The process of the Depths’ Data Exchange in between various fishing vessels’s OCEAN3D’s & land based OCEAN3D’s in office databases, – has been developed & maintained.

The one year’s footprint of the Russian flagged fishing vessels’ Activity’s track records in the North of Japan Sea during the period from 01 January 2016 – till 25 December 2016 (around 55 fishing vessels in total).

As the example of the marine regiod where OCEAN3D has been used extensively

During the period from Y 2006 – Y 2016

  • over 60,000,000 (WGS84~PZ90) of the soundings depths’ data for the North of Japan Sea’s region, –  collected, added, processed, corrected (in real-time), saved & exchanged in between fishing vessels  and their respective land based “in office” databases;

  • fishermen’s knowledge of the targeted fish habitat: Hydrography (Depths’ Data) + Bathymetry & NAV info over seabed in 3D + Hydrology (OCEANS’s temperature data)+ Type of Seabed,= improved;

  • fishing operations’ efficiency improved by various factors :

    • catch volume per fishing day, = increased;

    • fuel expenditure & CO2’s footprint per 1 ton of catch, = reduced;

    • fishing activity’s depths’ data’range is increased from the range of 100m – 1,000m down to 100m-2,000m & sometimes much more deeper: even down to 3,000 m;
    • fishing activity negative impact on fish’s habitat (oceans’ seabed) and fishing gears damage’s or losses over rough grounds, – have been reduced.

OCEANS’ seabed’s APPLIED level of knowledge by humans may be looked like on the picture shown below (3D x 360 x 360).

“Seeing is believing”. The 360’s picture of the oceans’ seabed shown below is “hooked” to ONE point only = (X~Latitude) + (Y~Longtitude) + (Z~Depth) = & may be observed all over around in 3D , & 360 around & up & down, & 360 around & right & left.
